BayReviews

This plugin includes a BayReviews module (the bayreviews/ directory) that renders
BayReviews widgets on your storefront. It is off by default and is enabled under
WooCommerce -> Settings -> BayEngage -> “BayReviews Widgets”.

What it does when enabled:

  1. Renders widget placeholders for product reviews, product statistics, Q&A,
collection star ratings and business reviews.
  2. Loads a remote script bundle from sf-rv.bayengage.com, which fills those
    placeholders in the browser.
  3. Passes the following to that bundle: store domain, product id, product name,
product image and URL, stock status, the WordPress user id and display name of a
logged-in shopper (or the BayEngage tracking session id for guests), and the order
id when a customer arrives from an order confirmation link. Customer email
    addresses are not included.

変更履歴

2.0.9

  • New: BayReviews widgets can now be enabled from WooCommerce -> Settings -> BayEngage
with the “BayReviews Widgets” checkbox. Widgets are off by default.
  • Changed: the BayReviews module is loaded from the main plugin file and only hooks into
the storefront when the setting is enabled.
  • Removed: the separate BayReviews settings tab and its unused settings; the single
toggle in the BayEngage tab replaces them.
  • Documented the BayReviews module in this readme.

2.0.8

  • Security: removed a block that disabled Secure and HttpOnly on the site’s PHP session
    cookie for every request.
  • Security: the cart tracking cookie is now Secure and HttpOnly and expires after 7 days
instead of 30. The cart_total, be_base_url and raw email cookies are no longer set.
  • Security: stop writing customer email addresses to localStorage and to the _be cookie,
and stop writing customer email addresses and session ids to the WooCommerce log.
  • Security: added a capability check and CSRF state token to the BayEngage connect flow.
  • Security: the /be-plugin/v1/user-email endpoint now requires a valid nonce, is rate
limited per IP, and no longer trusts a browser-supplied cookie for the tracking session id.
  • Security: customer role data is no longer exposed as a raw serialized capabilities blob
    in the WooCommerce REST API.
  • Security: escape the stored BayEngage tenant id before it is written into storefront
markup, and validate its format at the point it is stored.
  • Security: the SMS opt-in checkbox no longer posts the shopper’s email and phone number
from the browser to a remote endpoint. It calls this site instead, and the plugin
forwards the result, so the BayEngage endpoint and store identifier are no longer
    published in the page.
  • Fixed: unticking the SMS opt-in box now reports the withdrawal. Previously only opting
in was ever sent, so consent could not be revoked from the checkout page.
  • Fixed: toggling the SMS opt-in box repeatedly no longer sends a request each time.
  • Fixed: SMS opt-in consent is stored via the order object, so it displays correctly with
High-Performance Order Storage enabled. The consent timestamp, IP address and the exact
wording shown are now recorded against the order.
  • Fixed: the SMS opt-in script is only loaded on checkout, and only when the opt-in is
    enabled.
  • Fixed: the checkout email was posted on every blur of the field, including when nothing
had changed. It is now sent only when the address actually changes, and repeat sends for
the same session are dropped server-side.
  • Fixed: add-to-cart, cart update and checkout events could each fire more than once per
action. Emptying a cart is now reported instead of being silently skipped.
  • Fixed: the cart cookie and tracking session are now cleared once an order is placed.
  • Fixed: PHP notices on non-product pages and a deprecated user id property access.
  • Performance: BayEngage webhooks are now non-blocking with a 2 second timeout, so a slow
or unreachable BayEngage no longer delays add-to-cart, cart updates or checkout.
