Bulk post editing allows you to apply actions on a number of selected WordPress posts instead of doing it manually on each post
which could be time consuming particularly if you have a large amount of posts.
However, default bulk editor allows you just to add Categories to Posts.
This plugin extends default Bulk Editor so you can remove Categories from posts.
The plugin works with default Post type, Woocommerce products and any other Custom Post Type. Supports multiple taxonomies per post.

- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/plugin-namedirectory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress

No idea why the feature isn't part of the WP core - does exactly what its supposed to do. Moved 80 imported blogs from "uncategorized" to where I needed them to go in a few seconds. Awesome plugin, thank you!

I haven't tested all possible scenarios, but it seems to work just perfectly fine even with custom post types. It is beyond me, why this is not part of the WordPress core since years. It is absolutely annoying that we can can batch add a category but not remove one.
So, a big thankyou for the developer of this plugin. It really can save you a ton of time-consuming and tedious work.

Select more than one post. Select bulk action: edit. Check "remove from category" immediately below the category list and then check the category you want removed. Accept.Works exactly as stated and adds a functionality that I've needed for years.
