No coding, no third-party checkout plugin, no extra JavaScript slowing down your store. Install and activate the plugin (WooCommerce must be active). 2. Go to **WooCommerce Settings Min Order**. 3. Enable the rule, set a minimum amount and/or a minimum quantity, write your message, and save. 4. Test in a private/incognito browser window — admins and shop managers are exempt by design, so testing while logged in as admin won’t show the block. ## FAQ ### Does the minimum apply per product, or to the whole cart? To the whole cart. The rule checks the cart subtotal and/or the total number of items across all products combined — it is not a per-product or per-category minimum. ### Can I exclude certain customer roles or certain products from the rule? Not at the moment. The only automatic exemption is for store managers and administrators( anyone with the `manage_woocommerce` capability), so you can always place test orders and manage the store. There is no setting to exclude individual products, categories, or other customer roles. ### Can I write my own message to the customer? Yes. The error message is a plain text field you fully control, with two optional placeholders — `{min_amount}` and `{min_qty}` — that get replaced with the actual values. You can write it in any language. ### Does it actually stop the customer from checking out, or just show a warning? It stops them. When the cart is below the minimum, WooCommerce shows your message as an error notice on the cart and checkout pages and refuses to complete the order until the cart qualifies — on both classic and block checkout. ### Does it work with the WooCommerce block checkout (Cart and Checkout blocks)? Yes. The rule is enforced through the WooCommerce Store API, which is what the block- based Cart and Checkout run on, so the same minimum applies whether your store uses the classic shortcode checkout or the block checkout. ### Is it compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)? Yes. The plugin declares compatibility with HPOS. ### Will it work on a multilingual store? The message field is plain text, so you can type it directly in whichever language your store uses. The plugin’s own interface strings are translation-ready (standard WordPress text domain), so translators can localise the admin screen. There is currently no built-in way to show a different message per language automatically — if you run a multilingual plugin, you would set the message per site/language the same way you translate any other text on that page. ### Does it slow my store down?
