Pie Calendar

説明

The Most Flexible Events Calendar Plugin for WordPress

Pie Calendar lets you effortlessly turn any post on your WordPress site into an event, making it visible on a user-friendly front-end calendar. It doesn’t lock you into any post type – use the default WordPress posts or pages, or create your own Custom Post Type (CPT).

This plugin is crafted with careful thought, ensuring an event management system that’s lean, powerful, and incredibly flexible. Whether it’s a page, post, or CPT, any post on your site can be turned into an event and featured on your calendar in a matter of minutes.

FAQ

Will this work with my theme?

Yes, this plugin should work with almost any theme. We have tested it with the top 10+ themes in the WP theme repo and they all work with Pie Calendar.
Builders such as Bricks and Oxygen work with Pie Calendar, although the shortcode doesn’t render inside the builder itself.

Does it work with Custom Post Types?

Yes, they just need to have supports: editor and supports: custom-fields enabled.

What are the view options available with Pie Calendar?

Your visitors can pick from a dropdown of views on the frontend including dayGridMonth, listMonth, timeGridWeek, listWeek, or dayGridWeek.

You can also use a shortcode parameter to choose what the default is upon page load.

Can I show only one post type on the front-end?

Yes! If you’ve turned multiple different types of posts into events and you only want to show one on a specific calendar, you can use the shortcode parameter: [piecal type=”events”].

Simply replace “events” with the appropriate name of your post type.

Does it work with RTL languages?

Yes, the calendar plugin pickups if your WordPress language is RTL via the is_rtl() function and will adapt accordingly. Consider also using the “locale” parameter in your [piecal] shortcode.

I am pleasantly surprised at how simple and quick it is to get setup with Pie Calendar. I had an existing CPT that I used to plug Pie Calendar into, and it worked perfectly. Plus, the front end calendar out of the box works fantastic. Their documentation helped me write some quick CSS to style it to match my site and in less than an hour I had it setup and 6 Events added to it. Kudos to Jonathan & Elijah for a solid event calendar plugin that just WORKS!

I really like this plugin, it does exactly what I want it to do. I really like that I can just create my own custom post types and style them as I like! It's working well with Bricks builder for me.One thing I'd like to see is the option to set the "Show on calendar" to true by default for certain post types. Say I've created an "event" post type, I'll always want that to be shown on the calendar, and it would also be easier to hand off to clients without them forgetting to turn on the switch when adding events.

What Pie Calendar does is give you a simple way to turn any post, page, or custom post type into a calendar event. This is perfect for websites for live event venues, municipalities, clubs, sports associations, or memberships — basically anything where people need to gather at a specific time. Of course, there are already a lot of event plugins out there — but if you’ve ever used any of them, you’ll know that “simple” is not part of the equation. Every time I’ve needed one, I felt like they were all so bloated and inflexible that I’ve opted for creating my own “events” custom post type. And while that does solve the bloat and flexibilities issues, it always meant that I had to go without any kind of calendar component because it would be nearly impossible — or too costly — to develop that out. But unlike all those other event plugins, Pie Calendar actually delivers on the promise to keep things simple. Simply create your post, click the toggle, set the date & time, and bingo — it’s on your calendar. But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s not powerful… In fact, this week I had a fairly unique scenario of recurring events and add to calendar links that I wasn’t sure how I was going to pull off — but Pie Calendar knocked it out of the park, no sweat. And, better than that, I had it up and running in just a couple of minutes. 10/10

A client of mine needed a simple way to display events they run in their local community. They didn't need anything else apart from a calendar with events. This plugin does exactly that, it's lightweight, easy to use and support are very responsive. Highly recommend, 5 Stars from Me - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For many years, I've been frustrated by the many calendars available for WordPress. They've either been unusable or too advanced and inflexible. That's why I'm extra excited about PieCalendar because it focuses on being simple and flexible at the same time. For example, I've incorporated the calendar into a community plugin, where I've customised it to the rest of the setup. In addition, the developers are very open to new ideas and they are very responsive in their support.

Unfortunately, the plugin does not work for older posts unless you add a calendar entry to all your old posts. An impossible task for large websites. Unfortunately, even with good will, the programmers cannot offer a solution to the problem.
