Revolut WooCommerce plugin lets you accept online card payments via your WooCommerce e-store in an easy and hassle-free fashion. The following guide will help you install and configure the Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin.
Make sure that you have a Revolut Business account; that you apply for a Merchant Account; and that you get your application approved by our team. Once it is approved, you can start installing and configuring this plugin.
Please note, Merchant Accounts are not available to all customers by default yet. If you would like to use this plugin, please reach out to us via the chat in your Revolut Business web portal and we can look into activating the Merchant Account feature for you.
QUICK INSTALLATION
Follow these steps to install the plugin directly from your admin section:
- Log in to the admin section of your WooCommerce webstore
- On the menu, on the left hand side of the page, go to the
Plugins
section - At the very top of the page, click the
Add New
button, next to the plugins page title - Locate the
Search plugins...
field at the top-right of this page and search for Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce. You should see the plugin appear as the top result. (Make sure it says By Revolut) - Click the
Install Now
button and then click theActivate
button once the installation is done - Congrats! You have just activated the Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin. You’ll be automatically redirected to the page with all the plugins you have installed
MANUAL INSTALLATION
Follow these steps to install the plugin manually using the .zip file that can be downloaded from this page:
- Log in to the admin section of your WooCommerce webstore
- On the menu, on the left hand side of the page, go the
Plugins
section - At the very top of the page, click the
Add New
button, next to the plugins page title - Click the
Upload Plugin
button, next to theAdd Plugins
page title - Download the plugin file from this page and upload it
- Once the installation of the Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin is successfully finished, you can click the
Activate Plugin
button - Congrats! You have just activated the Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin. You’ll be automatically redirected to the page with all the plugins you have installed
CONFIGURATION
Testing the WooCommerce Revolut Gateway plugin:
In the admin settings of your WooCommerce shop, under Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce
plugin, click Settings
.
Make sure you perform the following actions to enable test mode:
- Tick the
Enable Revolut
option - Tick the
Revolut Sandbox
option - Add your Sandbox API Key found in your Merchant account settings on the Revolut Business Sandbox environment
- Click on the
Save changes
button to confirm the changes - Start testing payments using our test cards
Using WooCommerce Revolut Gateway plugin in production environment:
Return to the admin settings of your WooCommerce shop and under Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce
plugin click Settings
.
- Tick the
Enable Revolut
option - Untick the
Revolut Sandbox
option - Add your API Key found in your Merchant account settings on the Revolut Business portal
- Click the
Save changes
button to confirm the changes - Start accepting real card payments in your WooCommerce online shop
