It never blocks or bans a customer at checkout.\nInstead, it uses a \"Flag &amp; Hold\" approach that runs quietly in the background, after checkout.<\/p>\n\n<h4>How it works<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>After a shopper completes checkout, the plugin sends the order to the OmniTrust API for a\nfraud-risk evaluation, in the background (via WooCommerce's Action Scheduler). This never\ndelays or blocks checkout.<\/li>\n<li>If OmniTrust returns a <strong>high risk<\/strong> verdict, the order is set to <strong>On hold<\/strong>, a private\n(admin-only) order note explains why, and the order is tagged for review.<\/li>\n<li>If the verdict is <strong>low risk<\/strong>, the order's status is left unchanged; a private note simply\nconfirms the evaluation completed.<\/li>\n<li>If the evaluation call itself fails, a private note says so \u2014 no automatic retry happens, but\nyou can manually trigger a \"Start evaluation\" action from the order screen at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Once an order has been evaluated, you can also manually report COD non-collection or\nwardrobing\/return abuse for it from the order screen. This helps build the wider OmniTrust\nmerchant network that other stores' evaluations rely on too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>No email or other message is ever sent to the buyer as a result of any of this.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Important limitation: Flag &amp; Hold is not a pre-purchase block<\/h4>\n\n<p>Flag &amp; Hold runs <strong>after<\/strong> checkout completes, asynchronously, so it never slows down or blocks\nyour buyers \u2014 but that also means it is a weaker guarantee than a pre-purchase block. If your\nstore's fulfillment is very fast (e.g. same-minute pick\/pack\/ship), it is possible for an order\nto ship before the hold has a chance to apply.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Pricing<\/h4>\n\n<p>OmniTrust offers a genuine <strong>Free<\/strong> tier \u2014 $0\/mo, up to 100 risk checks per month, with the\nsame reporting features as every paid tier. Two paid tiers unlock a higher monthly evaluation\nlimit for busier stores: <strong>Standard<\/strong> (\u20ac10\/mo, up to 1,000 risk checks\/month) and <strong>Business<\/strong>\n(\u20ac50\/mo, unlimited risk checks). All three tiers share identical Flag &amp; Hold and reporting\nbehavior \u2014 the only difference between tiers is how many <code>\/evaluate<\/code> risk checks are included\nper month.<\/p>\n\n<p>After installing, go to <strong>Settings \u2192 OmniTrust<\/strong> to choose a tier (this takes you to a secure\nLemonSqueezy checkout) or, if you already have a license key, activate it directly on the same\npage. Without an active license key, the plugin stays installed but inactive \u2014 its hooks simply\ndo not register, so it never partially breaks your store or nags you to upgrade.<\/p>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin connects to the OmniTrust API (OmniTrust's own first-party backend \u2014 not a\nthird-party service) for fraud-risk evaluation and for the manual reporting features described\nabove. This happens:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>automatically, in the background, shortly after a customer completes checkout, sending\norder and store data for fraud-risk evaluation, and<\/li>\n<li>only when you manually trigger \"Report COD non-collection\" or \"Report wardrobing\/deshopping\"\non a specific order, sending that order's data for the report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>If OmniTrust's API is ever unreachable, the plugin fails safe: your orders are left in their\nnormal, unmodified state, and no error is ever shown to the buyer.<\/p>\n\n<p>This service is provided by OmniTrust: <a href=\"https:\/\/prestawach.com\/omnitrust\/privacy.html\">Privacy Policy<\/a>,\nwhich covers full details on what is collected, how it's hashed (identifiers are HMAC-hashed\non arrival and never stored raw), and how cross-merchant matching works.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install the plugin from the WordPress admin (Plugins \u2192 Add New, search for \"OmniTrust for\nWooCommerce\") or upload the ZIP manually (Plugins \u2192 Add New \u2192 Upload Plugin), then click\n<strong>Activate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure WooCommerce 6.0 or later is installed and active \u2014 this plugin does nothing without\nit.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Settings \u2192 OmniTrust<\/strong>. If you don't have a license key yet, choose a tier there\n(Free, Standard, or Business \u2014 see \"Pricing\" above) to check out via LemonSqueezy. Already\nhave a license key? Paste it into the License key activation field and click <strong>Activate<\/strong>.\nThis exchanges your license key for an API key automatically \u2014 you never need to request or\npaste in a raw API key yourself.<\/li>\n<li>Once activation succeeds, the plugin's Flag &amp; Hold evaluation and reporting features are\nlive.
