Simple and easy way to order your posts, pages or any other custom post-type in a various options, with the ability to define a different order option for each content type.

A new menu will appear on the admin side-menu under each content type that is defined on your site (posts, pages etc.) and it will also be added automatically to future custom post types you will add in the future.
In addition, under the Settings menu in WordPress you will find a general settings sub-menu to set global options for the plugin.

インストール

  1. Download and install the plugin from WordPress plugin page. You can also upload the entire wp-order-by folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, if you wish to do it manually.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress
  3. Go to the general settings page under: Settings -> Wp Order By Settings on your admin, or directly to a specific content type menu – (Order By menu under posts, pages etc.), to define your order-by preferences for this specific content type.

FAQ

What if I want to retrieve settings to default?

You should update your settings to the first option – 開催日 and check the Descending order radio button, which is WordPress default ordering.
You can make the update for a specific content type (e.g. posts) or from the main settings page under settings -> WP Order By Settings if you want to make the change for all page/post/post-types on your site.

Very nice plugin, that does what it intends to do and nothing more. Uncomplicated UI and compared to drag'n'drop order-plugins I feel more in control with WP Order By. A gem!

I always enjoy a good and simple plugin - like this one. Does the job without bloat and problems. Also - big plus for an author that updates the plugin with the function you suggested within two days! Doesn't get more professional than that. Thank you!

this Plugin is slim and nice. It just does what it's supposed to do. The Developer reacted very fast to my feature requests.

I love this type of plugin, something that addresses a very specific need that is lacking elsewhere and does a really nice job of providing the solution. After wasting a lot of time trying to arm-wrestle my themes and plugins with kludgey code while I cast around for a solution, and finding other plugins that only allowed me to manually arrange my post order, this one finally allowed me to select a sorting option from a range of well thought-out criteria. As a bonus, the developer Uri is incredibly helpful and responsive to support requests and suggestions. What more can you ask? Nice work 🙂

I didn't found the drug and drop ordering plugins useful in my case because I have a lot of posts and it is exhausting drugging them around every time from the long list I have. this one did the job with some logic instead. thanks 🙂
