 * こんにちは。宜しくお願いします。
    TwentySixteenを使っています。
 * inc\template-tags.php
    に、 printf( ‘<span class=”byline”><span class=”author
   vcard”>%1$s<span class=”screen-reader-text”>%2$s </span> [%4$s](https://ja.wordpress.org/support/topic/inctemplate-tags-php%E3%81%AE%E7%B7%A8%E9%9B%86%E3%82%92%E6%95%99%E3%81%88%E3%81%A6%E3%81%8F%E3%81%A0%E3%81%95%E3%81%84%E3%80%82/%3$s?output_format=md)
   </span></span>’, get_avatar( get_the_author_meta( ‘user_email’ ), $author_avatar_size),
   _x( ‘Author’, ‘Used before post author name.’, ‘twentysixteen’ ), esc_url( get_author_posts_url(
   get_the_author_meta( ‘ID’ ) ) ), get_the_author() ); とありますが、
 * ‘<span class=”byline”><span class=”author vcard”>%1$s<span class=”screen-reader-
   text”>%2$s </span> [%4$s](https://ja.wordpress.org/support/topic/inctemplate-tags-php%E3%81%AE%E7%B7%A8%E9%9B%86%E3%82%92%E6%95%99%E3%81%88%E3%81%A6%E3%81%8F%E3%81%A0%E3%81%95%E3%81%84%E3%80%82/%3$s?output_format=md)
   </span></span>’
 * この箇所を削除もしくはコメントアウトしたいのですが、
    で、コメントアウトする箇所
   が、分かりません。
 * 前後を
    <!– –> で、コメントアウトしましたら、
 * 「サイトに重大なエラーがありました」となって、
    しまいます。
 * （FTPソフトで、\inc\template-tags.php
    の元ファイルをアップして、復帰しました）
 * どういう風にphpを編集したらいいのでしょうか？
    お教え下さいませ。

 * 以下のように
    /* */ で、挟むことで、解決しました。
 * phpのコメントアウトを間違ってました。失礼しました。
 *  /*printf(
    ‘<span class=”byline”><span class=”author vcard”>%1$s<span class=”
   screen-reader-text”>%2$s </span> [%4$s](https://ja.wordpress.org/support/topic/inctemplate-tags-php%E3%81%AE%E7%B7%A8%E9%9B%86%E3%82%92%E6%95%99%E3%81%88%E3%81%A6%E3%81%8F%E3%81%A0%E3%81%95%E3%81%84%E3%80%82/%3$s?output_format=md)
   </span></span>’, get_avatar( get_the_author_meta( ‘user_email’ ), $author_avatar_size),
   _x( ‘Author’, ‘Used before post author name.’, ‘twentysixteen’ ), esc_url( get_author_posts_url(
   get_the_author_meta( ‘ID’ ) ) ), get_the_author() );*/
