どうやらworpressの問題ではないみたいですね。
サーバのssl.confの設定を変更することで解決しました。
ssl.confファイルに下記を追加することで無事に404エラーが解消されました。
<Directory “/home/ユーザ名/public_html”>
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
https://ドメイン名/test/ ※ファイルがなくても閲覧できました。
https://ドメイン名/test.html
