「問題解決のためのチェックリスト」に沿って
検証してみましたところ、

デフォルトのテーマでは正常に現在の月のフォルダに画像がアップされたため、
使用しているテーマが関係しているようです。

各バージョンなどの情報と、
デバッグモードで各ページに表示されたエラーメッセージを
記載させていただきます。

この情報で何かわかりますでしょうか？

ご回答いただきありがとうございます。

説明不足で申し訳ありません。
上位ディレクトリであるルートディレクトリにはWordpressは設置していないため、
xmlrpc.phpファイルもありません。
ファイルがあるのは/sub/内のみになります。
ルートディレクトリの.htaccessに同様の記述をしてみましたが404エラーと出ました。

ルートディレクトリに301リダイレクトさせている/sub/内のファイルをhoge.com/xmlrpc.phpへのアクセスで0.0.0.0に飛ばすには何か別の記述が必要なのでしょうか？

$pagenow !== ‘/test-login/’とすると
ログイン画面で「繰り返しリダイレクトが行われました」
というエラーが出て表示ができませんでした。
他の方法がないか検討してみます。
