WP Time Capsule でできること

リアルタイムバックアップ
サイトをリアルタイムでバックアップしているため、サイトを1時間前の状態に巻き戻せます。バックアップ間隔は6時間ごと、12 時間ごと、1日ごとに変更できます。

ステージング
1クリックでステージング環境を用意し、サイト上で行いたい変更を簡単にテストできます。

自動バックアップと更新

WP Time Capsule は他のバックアッププラグインと何が違うのですか

WP Time Capsule の特長は4つあります。
1. 都度サイト全体をバックアップするのではなく、変更されたファイルとデータベースのみのバックアップと復元を行います。
2. ファイルとデータベースはクラウドストレージサービス (Amazon S3、Wasabi、Backblaze、Dropbox、Google Drive) に保存します。
3. 変更の検出とファイルバージョン管理には、各クラウドサービス純正のファイルバージョン管理システムを使用します。そのため、バックアップと復元は可能な限り信頼性が高くなります
4. 一番大切なことですが、サイトをリアルタイムでバックアップできます。つまり、サイトを1時間前の状態に戻すことができます。バックアップ間隔は6時間ごと、12時間ごと、1日ごとから選択できます。

使用方法

1. 公式サイト https://wptimecapsule.com でアカウント登録し、30 日間のフル機能のトライアル版を入手できます。
2. プラグインをインストールし、wptimecapsule.com のアカウントでログインします。
3. バックアップファイルを保存するクラウドサービスと接続します。Amazon S3、Wasabi、Dropbox、Google Drive が使用できます。
4. 接続が完了すると、サイト全体が各クラウドサービスのアカウントに自動でバックアップされます。

初回のサイト全体のバックアップ作成後、WP Time Capsule がサイトをバックアップする時間を予約できます。それ以降はプラグインにバックアップをおまかせください。
これで万全の備えができました 🙂

バックアップ: 前回のバックアップ後に変更されたファイルとデータベースを検索し、変更のみをアップロードします。その後、データをクラウドサービスのアカウントに安全に保存します。

復元: 変更履歴を確認して表示します。サイトを特定の時点の状態に復元したり、特定のファイルやデータベースを復元したりできます。

優れている点
バックアップ方法
従来の方法では、バックアップは Zip ファイルに圧縮していました。サーバーリソースを大量消費します。
WPTC では、Zip 形式に圧縮しません。変更されたファイルを直接アカウントに保存します使用するリソースが大幅に少なくなります。

バックアップファイル
従来の方法では、バックアップするたびに複数の Zip ファイルが作成されました。ストレージスペースを消費してしまいます。
WPTC では、増分のみバックアップします。ファイルをたくさんコピーしません。 使用するディスク容量が大幅に少なくなります。

復元

  • PHP version 5.3.1 or greater (recommended: PHP 7.2.5 or greater)

インストール

Installing WP Time Capsule is simple and easy. Install it like any other WordPress plugin.

  1. Sign up an account on our website https://wptimecapsule.com and you will get a 30 days full featured trial.
  2. Login to your WordPress dashboard, under Plugins click Add New
  3. In the plugin repository search for ‘WP Time Capsule’ or upload the plugin zip file and install it
  4. After installation, login with your wptimecapsule.com account
  5. Then, connect with the cloud app that you want to use to backup your site
  6. Once the cloud app is connected, you can schedule your backup time and we will begin backing up the website to your cloud app according to schedule.

High resources usage and support without solution

I tested the plugin in 30 websites and the plugin uses a lot of RAM. In shared hosting for expamples blocks the accounts. In VPS uses all RAM available (more than 3GB). The plugin creates additional tables in the database with more than 30.000 or 50.000 rows and more than 50mb… After talk with support team (with many email), they don’t offert any solution. So I lost 200€ of my money… I don’t recommed it.

Ignore the people on here moaning because they don’t realise that any backup solution should be monitored regularly. We have 130 sites working flawlessly on this best-value solution, and the support when something doesn’t work as expected is responsive and detailed. We’re very pleased with this backup regime and would heartily recommend this plugin.

Great plugin. The auto-backup-before-plugin-updates has saved me many times – makes for a quick rollback on a site if there’s an issue. Greatly appreciate the support team – they answer quickly and usually know immediately what my problem is and how to solve it, and if not, they dig in and find an answer. Great support, great plugin – we have about 100 sites using it and I wouldn’t be without it. Thank you!

Do not rely on this backup plugin

Even if the plugin works fine in the beginning – at some point it stops working, without warning, without informing you about it, without any apparent reason. The synchronization doesn’t work anymore (for whatever reason). I have observed this now on several websites (and different web servers). Unfortunately, I even bought the lifetime license of this plugin. I would have been better off saving that money.

faulty backups

UpDate my rating from 1 to 4: The reason for the backup failure lay in Wasabi’s policies. Now the backups with large files also work. I’ve been using the plugin for years. Since the switch from DropBox to Wasabi, the backups are not complete. Large files are not copied. The bad thing is that you only see the error in the log files. Otherwise there is no error message.

I have no clue if it works or not for other people but I can’t seem to get it to upload more than 1% and hour maybe.. I can’t really tell. The first backup never went past 2% Just kept saying waiting on server response. ( Preparing for next call from server. ) I deleted and reloaded it all and it “seems” to be working. I don’t really think it is something I can support long term if it takes this long to upload the first backup. I purchased a account which I will probably getting refunded and I also setup a S3 storage bucket which I don’t need now.. seems like this was a HUGE waste of time and I wish the reviews online reflected this situation. It doesn’t seem to handle large files so unless you have a VERY SMALL site please try something else
